Chris Eubank Jr has already started the mind games ahead of his potential rematch with Conor Benn.

‘Next Gen’ stole the show in the lead-up to their inaugural encounter with his infamous egg slap and quick-witted remarks.

The fierce rivals proceeded to put on an instant classic in front of a packed-out Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and as the dust settled on their domestic dust-up, the back-and-forth took a back seat.

That was until Eubank Jr’s latest Instagram post, where he poked fun at Benn’s new bleach blonde buzzcut.

Benn showed off the bold new look to his 2.2million followers last week, and it caught the eye of his fierce rival, who took a swipe at ‘The Destroyer’ by uploading a photoshopped image of Eminem’s head on his shoulders.

The post sent fans into hysterics, with the comment section flooded with laughing emojis and Eminem puns.

One supporter wrote: “And it starts again…2-0 Eubank.”

Another tweeted: “The trolling resumes and I’m here for it.”

A third added: “Legendary behaviour.”

A fourth quipped: “You fried him.”

Meanwhile, Eubank Jr’s cousin, Harlem Eubank, commented: “Will the real Slim Shady please stand up.”

Eubank Jr and Benn are set to run back their barnstorming bout this summer.

According to Benn’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, the rematch is being eyed for September 27.

Both parties signed contracts for a two-fight deal, and negotiations are progressing toward tying up the sequel at the scene of their inaugural encounter.

“I know September 27, back at Spurs, is a date that he [Turki Alalshikh] has put forward and proposed,” Hearn told Sky Sports.

“We’re ready, really. We signed the contract for two fights.

“Conor’s just desperate to run it back. He feels like he’s going to improve a lot going into that fight.

“[It was] his first fight in 14, 15 months, at 160lbs.

“Look, they provided us with just a night we’ll never forget in so many ways.

“And both fighters deserve so much credit. We’d love to run it back.”

It is understood that the same weight terms will be in place for the rematch, with Eubank Jr once again set to boil himself down to meet the 10lbs rehydration clause for the middleweight (160lbs) bout.
