Otto Wallin thinks Anthony Joshua could stop Daniel Dubois early.

Joshua will look to realise his dream of becoming a three-time heavyweight world champion when he takes on IBF titleholder Dubois at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday night.

‘Dynamite’ is coming off a career-best win over Filip Hrgovic, whom he stopped in round eight after taking lots of punishment early in the fight.

Wallin believes if he approaches his clash with AJ in the same way, Dubois will get finished even quicker than he was by the 34-year-old.

After previously cutting and going the distance with Tyson Fury, Wallin was retired by his corner after a five-round beatdown from Joshua in December 2023.

‘All In’ says the former unified champion could stop Dubois in four rounds.

“I think that Dubois and Joshua will be a good fight,” Wallin told Action Network.

“If Dubois comes out like he did in his last fight against Hrgovic, he was hit a lot, with one-two’s. You can’t take those shots from Joshua because his punch is very, very hard. 

“So, if he comes out the same way against Joshua, then I think Joshua wins by knockout before round five.”

However, Wallin isn’t totally writing off Dubois. The 33-year-old insists that if ‘DDD’ can make the necessary adjustments things could get very interesting.

Wallin added: “If Dubois has tightened up his defence a little bit and can hit Joshua with a few good shots then it could turn into an interesting fight.”

Since his loss to Joshua, Wallin has returned to the ring and the win column.

Onoriode Ehwarieme was KO’d in 48 seconds when they fought in July.

Now Wallin is eyeing a much bigger fight against another Englishman, Dillian Whyte, who recently called for a trilogy bout with Derek Chisora.

“I would love to fight Dillian,” he said.

“We were supposed to fight in 2021, actually, and then he pulled out, like, ten days before saying he had a shoulder problem. 

“He went on to fight Fury, obviously. But I would love to fight him, and that could be my next fight. I think that’s a really good fight.

“That would be perfect, I think, in this situation I’m in now as a free agent.”
