Michael Carrick has been sacked by Middlesbrough after nearly three years in charge.
The Manchester United legend has been shown the door by Boro after they finished just four points outside the play-off places.

Boro were in contention to finish in the top six, but suffered a disappointing end to the season.
From their final five fixtures, they won just once, while they lost on three occasions to leave them tenth in the table.
The Yorkshire outfit announced the news on Wednesday afternoon, while also confirming that club icon Jonathan Woodgate will be leaving his role as their assistant manager.
A statement read: “Middlesbrough Football Club has today parted company with head coach Michael Carrick.
“Michael’s assistants Jonathan Woodgate and Graeme Carrick have also departed the club.
“We’d like thank Michael, Jonathan, and Graeme for all their hard work and unwavering commitment.
“We wish them all the very best for the future.
“The club will be making no further comment at this stage.”
talkSPORT understands that former Leicester boss Steve Cooper is in the running to replace Carrick.
Cooper, who was axed by the Foxes in November, has plenty of Championship experience.

He managed to guide Nottingham Forest to play-off glory in 2022.
While he also helped Swansea finish in the Championship top six in each of his two seasons there, though they lost in the semi-finals on both occasions.
While Carrick may have lost his job at Boro, he has earned plenty of plaudits during his spell in charge at the Riverside Stadium.
Appointed in October 2022 in what was his first managerial role, Carrick won 63 of his 139 matches in all competitions.
In his first campaign, he took Boro to the play-offs after they finished in fourth spot, where they lost to Coventry in the semi-finals.
Finishes in eighth and tenth would follow, with the former West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder to now be eyeing up his next challenge.
