The Cleveland Browns starting quarterback role is up for grabs.
And Shedeur Sanders is off to a good start.

Disclaimer: It’s OTAs in early June.
Here is your grain of salt.
Nonetheless, it is notable that all the reports coming out of Cleveland since Sanders arrived in northeast Ohio have been positive.
That includes rookie minicamp in early May and now OTAs.
If nothing else, it has Browns fans excited.
“It’s going to quickly become obvious to everyone that Shedeur Sanders is the best QB on the Browns roster,” one fan commented on X.
“Sanders is coming for that QB1 spot,” another chimed in.
“He was the best QB in the 2025 draft. Just a matter of time,” one more added.
The buzz around Sanders is starting to slowly build back up after his demoralizing fall in the draft, lasting all the way into the fifth round.
Robert Griffin III had this to say on the 23-year-old quarterback after his impressive practice on Wednesday.

“When you watch all the clips of Shedeur Sanders, you see why his tape said he was a 1st Round QB,” Griffin said.
“He plays with NFL timing and rhythm, reads with his feet, plays ahead of the defense, has more than enough arm strength and he knows how to layer the ball.”
Sanders will have to prove himself in a crowded QB room that includes Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and fellow rookie, Dillon Gabriel.
Not to mention the $230 million elephant in the room, Deshaun Watson.
However, Watson is believed to be out for the entire 2025 season as he rehabs from a reported Achilles.
If Sanders comes into training camp and lights it up in the preseason, not just in rookie minicamp or OTAs, but when the heat actually gets turned up, and balls out, he’ll give himself a chance to be QB1.

Something they truly haven’t had since the days of Tim Couch, or even Bernie Kosar.
Sanders has the chance to be the one.
