The watch for Aaron Rodgers is officially over.
The four-time league MVP is set to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After months and months of speculation and rumors connecting Rodgers to the Steel City franchise, the news broke on Wednesday afternoon that it’s a done deal.
Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had the scoop first.
“Aaron Rodgers has informed the Steelers he plans to sign a contract and attend mini camp next week, per sources,” Dulac posted on X.
ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter jumped in to add more context to the massive, albeit expected, bombshell.
“Steelers never wavered in their belief that Aaron Rodgers eventually would sign with Pittsburgh,” Schefter said.
“Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin loomed large in this entire situation. Tomlin was a drawing card for Rodgers, and was happy to work within Rodgers’ timeline.
“He is a major reason that Rodgers will be a Steeler.”
As soon as the news broke, everyone looked to the schedule and seemed to have the same thought and conspiracy theory.
“Those NFL script writers are at it again,” Schefter wrote on X.
The Steelers’ Week One opponent?

Rodgers’ former team, the New York Jets… in the Meadowlands.
It doesn’t get much juicier for a Week One match-up than Rodgers back in New York taking on a team that had sky high expectations for him, and never quite lived up to it.
That’s not the only team on the Rodgers revenge tour.
The Green Bay Packers, whom Rodgers played 18 seasons for, come to Pittsburgh in Week 8.
All of his other old NFC North rivals are on the schedule as well.
As Schefter noted, the script writers are indeed back at it again.
NFL’s Greatest……

Quarterbacks of all-time – Can anyone better Tom Brady?
Wide receivers of all-time – Does Randy Moss or Jerry Rice come out on top?
Running backs of all-time – Stacking Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Emmitt Smith and more
Tight ends of all-time – How does Travis Kelce compare?
As for the actual fit between Rodgers and the Steelers, the two sides desperately needed one another.
Rodgers gets the opportunity to step in and become QB1, while the Steelers get a legitimate talent behind center.
Something they haven’t quite had since Ben Roethlisberger retired after the 2021 season.
Whether the pairing actually works remains to be seen, but as long as Tomlin is leading the charge in Pittsburgh, it’s tough to bet against it.
