Bet of the day

Portugal vs Spain – Spain to win 20/23

Portugal, the inaugural Nations League winners, are in the final for a second time after coming from 1-0 down against Germany in their semi-final to triumph 2-1.

Head Roberto Martinez has done a great job to get his side to within just one victory of silverware, but disappointment could be on the cards when they face a red-hot Spain at the Allianz Area in Munich.

Reigning Nations League champions La Roja overcame France 5-4 in a thrilling semi-final, but that result could have been more convincing given Luis de la Fuente’s troops were 4-0 and 5-1 ahead in that contest and took their foot off the gas.

Spain are on a 19-game unbeaten run, last losing to Colombia in a friendly in March last year, and the amount of attacking talent they have in their squad makes it hard to look past anything other than a victory for them.

Special of the day

Germany v France – Germany to win, both teams to score & over 3.5 goals @ 17/4

The third-place play-off takes place at the MHPArena in Stuttgart and Germany, disappointed from missing out on the final, can at least give the home crowd something to cheer about with a win over France.

Les Bleus had a stirring comeback to make their semi-final loss to Spain look respectable, but the fact of the matter is that is now their fourth defeat from their last 10 matches and they are faltering at crucial moments.

Germany’s last-four loss to Portugal was their first defeat since being knocked out of the 2024 European Championships and they can end their Nations League campaign on a high by clinching third place.

This contest has the making of being an entertaining one and both teams can find the back of the net, a bet that has landed in Germany’s last four matches and in four of France’s last seven fixtures.

With both teams expected to favour attack over defence, round off this bet builder with over 3.5 goals, a selection that was successful in France’s semi-final.

Long shot of the day

Portugal vs Spain – Lamine Yamal to score in both halves @ 13/1

Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal is one of the hottest players in world football and, after notching 18 goals and registering 25 assists for his club in the 2024/25 campaign, he has continued that form on the international stage.

The 17-year-old bagged a brace in the semi-final victory, his fifth goal from his last five appearances for club and country, and he is more than capable of finding the back of the net in both halves on Sunday.
