Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) football club swiftly recovered from the opening day blushes with a slim 1-0 win on the road over Soltilo Bright Stars on match day two of the 2024-2025 Star Time Uganda Premier League.
Ivan Ahimbisibwe was the hero with the all-important goal of the evening at Kavumba Recreational Stadium.
Ahimbisibwe who is nick-named as the “Hunter” beat goalkeeper Emmanuel Derrick Were on the stroke of half time for the match winner well defended throughout the game.

This was URA’s first win of the season following their 0-1 loss to KCCA on match day one at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo.
Elsewhere, match day two on Friday, 20th September 2024 also witnessed Wakiso Giants gallantly win 3-2 away to Maroons in Luzira, Kampala.
Marvin Oshaba, Hebert Asiimwe and Samuel Nsubuga scored for Wakiso Giants who are christened as the “Purple Sharks”.
Baden Mujaheed Ogama struck a brace for Maroons to stage a gallant comeback.
Mbarara City shared the spoils with visiting Police at the Kakyeeka stadium.
BUL and KCCA played to a 1-all draw at the Lugazi stadium in Najjembe.
Ashraf Mugume gave KCCA the lead before Jerome Kiirya replied for BUL.
Match day two will continue with Sports Club Villa’s visit to newcomers Mbale Heroes at Mbale City stadium on Sunday, 22nd September 2024.
