The 2024 BMW PGA Championship is hosting another glittering field for the flagship event on the DP World Tour.
The Wentworth tournament is always a highlight of the European golf calendar and Rory McIlroy is among the star names to tee it up in Surrey again this year.

Australia’s Ryan Fox won this title last September, scooping the £1.2million winner’s cheque to boot. Other recent champions include Shane Lowry, Billy Horschel and Tyrrell Hatton.
Wentworth Golf Club, on the outskirts of London, is one of the finest courses in England and regularly welcomes the best field of the year on the DP World Tour.
The Race to Dubai to heating up and this Rolex Series event is always key in deciding who will be the overall champion at the end of the season.
BMW PGA Championship 2024: Date and how to follow
This tournament is taking place from Thursday, September 19 to Sunday, September 22.
It is being held on the West Course at Wentworth Golf Club in Virginia Water, Surrey.
The famous course will play to a par 72 and a maximum length of 7,267 yards and includes the famous back-to-back par 5s to finish.
Play for the opening two rounds will begin at 7:30am while the action will get underway at 9am over the weekend.

BMW PGA Championship 2024: Field and leaderboard
As ever, the showpiece event on the DP World Tour is hosting a star-studded field.
McIlroy is the standout name but other top players include Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Rose and Robert MacIntyre.
Several high-ranking international stars are also in action including Horschel, Viktor Hovland, Will Zalatoris, Adam Scott, Si Woo Kim and defending champion Fox.

McIlroy is in second place heading into the final round of play, sitting behind leader Matteo Manassero.

McIlroy, who won this title in 2014, said: “I’ve always enjoyed playing at the BMW PGA Championship, and I’ve had some great results round the West Course in the past.
“Wentworth is a place where I would like to add another title.”
Fleetwood added: “Wentworth is always an incredible week, especially for us English players, and I’m excited to play in front of my family and the home crowds at the BMW PGA Championship.
“The fans always make it a memorable tournament and that’s why I love playing it.”
And Fitzpatrick said: “The BMW PGA Championship is always a highlight on my calendar.
“I’ve had a few chances to contend at Wentworth over the years, and as a Rolex Series event, it has grown to create an incredible atmosphere for the players, fans and everyone involved.”
