There only ever seemed to be one winner when Usain Bolt took to the 100 metre blocks in his career.
The fastest man of all time was unstoppable throughout his glittering career, and it at times felt unfair watching other athletes trying to keep up with him.

But Bolt now looks to have met his match in some way, in the form of his animal counterpart, a cheetah.
A 3D simulation provided by Speed Showdown on YouTube has pitted the eight-time Olympic champion against the swiftest land animal in a 100m sprint.
And despite the Jamaican boasting a world record over the distance, he is unsurprisingly no match for the rapid land animal.
In the footage, the cheetah instantly takes an early lead, before speeding away and crossing the finish line with Bolt still out of the picture.
With the cheetah capable of reaching speeds of up to 70 miles per hour, it understandably clocks a 100m time of just 5.95 seconds.
As a result, a second-best Bolt looks somewhat sluggish when he eventually completes the race in his world-record time of 9.58 seconds.
The athletics icon famously made history when he smashed his own previous best at the 2009 World Championship to register the staggering time, which remains unmatched to this day.
Of course, a race between a superstar athlete and a cheetah has already been done in real life.
Rugby World Cup winner Bryan Habana raced the big cat in 2007 and was given a 30m head start.
The cheetah sill managed to beat him across the finish line.

This 3D simulation isn’t the first to show Bolt being comfortably beaten, with another video revealing him to be no match for an ostrich over the same distance, in a race which also features football icon Cristiano Ronaldo.
In bizarre footage, the now 38-year-old is destroyed by the rapid flightless bird, who crosses the line in 7.3 seconds.
Despite this, he finishes well ahead of Ronaldo, who is known for his pace on the football pitch but can only manage a time of 11.22 seconds here.

However, the legendary Olympian will surely be most pleased with another simulation, which would appear to confirm that he is still the greatest of all time in his field.
Current Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles has emerged as the latest big personality in the world of athletics, and has previously shared his hopes of beating Bolt’s world record 200m time.
But with the historic 19.19 second effort still untouched after Lyles claimed bronze in the event at the Paris Olympics, a 3D animation has also demonstrated that a prime Bolt would likely cross the line first ahead of his new challenger over 100 metres.
Lyles won gold at Paris 2024 with a time of 9.79 seconds to secure a new personal best, but it is still not enough to see him beat the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Olympic champion in the imagined footage.
