Patrick Kaddu says the remarkable progress made by Kitara since he left it last year is one of the reasons the decision to return was simple.
The veteran centre forward is back at the Hoima based club as a free agent after he left Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia.
“I’m incredibly excited about returning to Kitara,” Kaddu told the club website. “This is not the way I left it in 2023, they have made remarkable progress and have already started out on an ambitious path, on which I can now accompany them.
“From the fans to the stadium, you see things are moving well and to my liking. I’m really looking forward to my return to the Uganda premier league and also help my team win matches.”
Kaddu who has previously featured for defunct Kiira Young, Maroons and KCCA among others is among the over a dozen new faces at the club as Brian Ssenyondo’s men intend to win the premier league this season.
Other new faces at the club are Umar Lutalo, Moses Sseruyide, Rogers Mugisha, Marvin Nyanzi, Titus Ssematimba, Ivan Sserubiri, Ronald Otti, Douglas Oyirwoth, Fred Amaku and David Ndihabwe.
Kaddu could make his debut against former employers KCCA on Friday as the Royals aim to react following a 2-1 home defeat to NEC at Royal Park Butema.
