Wolves v Liverpool preview

Liverpool make the trip to Wolverhampton having won six of their seven matches in all competitions this season under the management of Arne Slot, having taken over from Jurgen Klopp at the start of the summer.

The Dutchman has passed the early tests with flying colours with the Reds having conceded just one goal in five league games so far, and head into the weekend in second place in the Premier League table, just a point behind league leaders Manchester City.

The Merseyside club will be looking to maintain their 100% record away from home this season from three games in all competitions, a selection of matches which includes impressive victories away at both Manchester United and AC Milan.

Wolves, on the other hand, sit rock bottom of the Premier League table after a difficult start to the new season, from which they’ve picked up just one point from their opening five league games.

Gary O’Neil’s side head into the weekend having lost their last three matches in all competitions, which has also seen them exit the Carabao Cup at the third round stage, with the team averaging almost three goals conceded per game.

In fairness to the West Midlands side, the fixture hasn’t been kind to them, with the club’s opening six fixtures of the season seeing them come up against five of last season’s top seven sides, and they have managed to pick up a point from their one match against the slightly ‘weaker’ opposition in the form of Nottingham Forest.

It doesn’t much easier for Wolves over the next few weeks though, with Liverpool and Manchester City to come in their next three matches, and the team will need to start picking up points as soon as possible to relieve any pressure on their players and manager.

Liverpool have won their last three matches against Wolves and will be strong favourites heading into Saturday’s evening kick off.

Paddy Power have announced a handful of their Power Prices ahead of Saturday’s evening kick off in the Premier League, which includes a tempting looking one of Mo Salah and Luis Diaz, Liverpool’s star men in front of goal this season, each to have 2+ shots on target at 11/2.
