Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean capped his rookie season with an electrifying pick-6 in Super Bowl LIX.
With the Kansas City Chiefs on third-and-16 midway through the second quarter, Patrick Mahomes looked to cut into the Eagles‘ 10-0 lead.

He rolled out from the pocket, before releasing a pass towards DeAndre Hopkins.
But instead of finding his wide receiver, Mahomes was picked off by DeJean.
With the ball in his hands, the rookie cut back across the field and dodged four Kansas City stars before tip-toeing into the end zone.
DeJean’s pick-6 was arguably the most exciting moment of the Super Bowl – and it sounded absolutely incredible to those listening on the radio.
TalkSPORT play by play commentator Will Gavin was on the call for the game in New Orleans alongside Jeff Reinebold, NFL Network’s Gregg Rosenthal and Saints kicker Charlie Smyth, and his passion in the moment has picked up attention worldwide.
A video of Gavin’s Super Bowl call, shared by the NFL and talkSPORT on Instagram in the days since, has gone viral with more than 2.8 million views.
“Time for Mahomes to try and make some magic – a night where he’s trying to establish his legacy,” the commentator begins alongside Reinebold and Rosenthal, as others inside Caesars Superdome hold their breath.
“Steps his foot, rushes out to the right hand side. Has a man open… THROWS THE INTERCEPTION AT THE 39-YARD LINE!
“Returning, it has the numbers… 25, 20, Cooper DeJean, down to the 10! Down to the five! Touchdown Eagles! Cooper DeJean goes all the way!”
As he makes the call, Gavin is seen punching the air in excitement, clearly taken aback by what he has seen unfold.

His passion from the booth was infectious, with many fans praising the talkSPORT commentator for his call.
“Absolute masterpiece of how to call a play,” one person wrote.
“Man, I wish America had commentators with this much passion,” another said.
“This is the excitement and aura the Super Bowl deserves tbh,” a third wrote.
A fourth simply concluded: “This is electric.”
As well as being an incredible play, DeJean’s pick-6 also made history.

He turned 22-years-old on Sunday, and became the first player to score a Super Bowl touchdown on his birthday.
There is arguably no better gift than the Lombardi Trophy, which DeJean and his Eagles teammates lifted after a 40-22 victory against the Chiefs.
“It’s crazy be here with these guys,” DeJean told talkSPORT post-game.
“I dropped a couple (of interceptions) earlier in the season, so to make it happen on the biggest stage is awesome.
“I was just trying to find the end zone, best I could, and I got some blocks.”
