Alex Pereira has teamed up with Sean Strickland ahead of UFC 307.

‘Poatan’ knocked out the American before becoming middleweight champion – but now Strickland is helping him prepare to defend the light heavyweight title.

Pereira will face top contender Khalil Rountree Jr. in an eagerly anticipated main event matchup at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 5.

Clips of Pereira and Strickland in camp together have been circulating online, but nothing got the attention of fight fans until recently.

MMA reporter Nina Marie Daniele caught hilarious footage of Strickland tumbling off an electric scooter while fooling around outside Pereira’s gym.

Luckily, he managed to stay on his feet and avoid getting injured.

The former middleweight champion laughs at his faux pas, while Nina can be heard cracking up behind the camera.

“Oh no,” Pereira shouts before stumbling into the shot a few seconds later.

He points at Strickland and adds: “My sparring partner!”

Everyone laughed at Pereira’s concerned and seemingly sarcastic reaction to Strickland almost hurting himself.

Strickland recently opened up about what it’s like to fight Pereira.

The 33-year-old insists he’s not afraid of the Brazilian knockout artist, even though he knows that one good punch is likely to put him out cold.

“I’m not scared of Alex,” Strickland insisted.

“But the problem is my chin [is]. I mean, I’ll go to sleep.

“It’s a weird thing when you fight Alex. For me to knock Alex out, he has to do something really stupid. Like he has to do like what he did against Izzy [Israel Adesanya].

“If you gave me one free shot and you said give everything I can to it, I’m not knocking him out. But you do that to Alex, everybody on the roster’s going to sleep.

“That’s one of the s*** things when I spar him because I feel like me and Alex kickboxing, we go toe to toe. But I just know that no matter what the f*** I do, he’s gonna eat it and if he just touches me one good one, good night.”

Strickland won’t be happy to hear Pereira is thinking about a return to 185lbs.

Dricus du Plessis – the man who dethroned Strickland earlier this year – received a call out from Pereira in the aftermath of his recent win over Adesanya.

It appears Strickland’s new friendship with Pereira will be put to the test when they both chase the same title in 2025.
