Alex Pereira’s ex-fiancée Merle Christine reveled in the Brazilian MMA star’s defeat at UFC 313.
On Saturday night, Magomed Ankalaev snatched the UFC light heavyweight title from Pereira’s grasp with a unanimous decision victory.

Most people felt the Dagestani fighter’s route to victory would be on the ground, but Ankalaev managed to outland the two-weight Glory Kickboxing champion on the feet and rack up almost 6 minutes of control time in the clinch.
The loss meant Pereira’s hopes of a super fight with Jon Jones next were dashed and Christine couldn’t be happier about it.
Taking to social media, the German television presenter said with a big grin on her face: “We have a new light heavyweight champion. No more Chama, karma.
“He lost on International Women’s Day, maybe that is a sign guys, I don’t know.
“He did a really good job, a few guys are talking about a robbery.
“You guys don’t understand anything about MMA. So let’s not talk about a robbery, that is complete BS.
“This guy won and he got this title shot very late so I think we should give him some props even if we don’t like him and we don’t like his fighting style.
“We should give him some props, no more Chama.”
Pereira and Christine were together for two years before breaking up in December 2023.
They started dating in 2022 and got engaged in early 2023.

However, the couple split up after Pereira found out Christine was already married.
In reference to the reason for their acrimonious break-up, Pereira commented under her video: “I think she should stop mentioning my name cause her husband might get jealous, Chama.”
Pereira is now expected to rematch Ankalaev with UFC president Dana White insisting that a sequel would ‘probably’ come next.
‘Poatan’ is chomping at the bit to re-write the wrong while Ankalaev is happy to go along with the UFC’s wishes.
“I was confident [I had won]. I kept moving forward, I kept pressuring him,” said Ankalaev at the post-fight press conference.
“And he kept running away from me for 20 minutes, this guy was running away from me.

“I heard after the fight that he wasn’t sure why the victory was given to me.
“Who is supposed to be given the victory? I was pressuring the entire time, he was running for 20 minutes, and then he is wondering who should have got the victory.
“Listen, I am happy for a rematch if he wants a rematch. But maybe in a rematch he can fight for real and run away the entire time.”
