Ally’s Acca: Manchester United, Middlesbrough, Birmingham and Mansfield all to win – (was 21/2) NOW 13/1 – CLAIM HERE
1. Manchester United to beat Brentford at home (Sat, 3pm)
Manchester United, despite the pressure that manager Erik ten Hag is under in his job, head into this weekend’s home fixture having lost only one of their last seven matches in all competitions.
The Red Devils will need to put in a strong performance to earn away against the Bees on Saturday, and have managed to pull very strong performances out of the hat in the past when ten Hag has needed them to, notably in last season’s FA Cup final win over Man City.
Brentford make the trip to Manchester in a run of good form and boast the joint best home record in the Premier League this season. Unfortunately for Thomas Frank’s side they also have the joint worst away record having lost all three of their matches on the road so far.
2. Middlesbrough to beat Bristol City at home (Sat, 3pm)
Middlesbrough head into Saturday’s match with two wins in their last three matches, including an away victory over then-top of the table West Brom, leaving Michael Carrick’s side knocking on the door of the top six as they seek promotion back to the Premier League this season.
Boro are just two points outside the play-off positions as Championship action returns after the international break and take on a Bristol City side struggling for wins, with none in their last three and just two in nine matches in all competitions this season.
The Robins sit down in 16th place in the table as thing stand, and face an uphill task for victory on their long trip to the Riverside.
3. Birmingham to win away at Lincoln (Sat, 3pm)
League One pace setters Birmingham head into the weekend with a two-point lead at the top of the table ahead of their trip to Lincoln, with seven wins from their last eight matches.
Lincoln are having an impressive season of their own, currently up in fourth place, but a home record of just two wins from six matches in all competitions in the current campaign leaves a little to be desired ahead of their match with the league leaders and title favourites on Saturday.
4. Mansfield to beat Stevenage at home (Sat, 3pm)
Mansfield have hit the ground running in the third tier following their promotion from League Two last season, and currently find themselves just two points behind the league leaders Birmingham heading into the weekend.
Nigel Clough’s side prepare for the visit of Stevenage having won five matches on the trot, and will back themselves to make it six against a team languishing in midtable currently and without a win in any of their seven games away from home this season.
Mansfield have also won four of their last five matches against Stevenage, who are winless against the Staggs in each of their last seven meetings.
