Andrew’s best Sunday horse racing betting tips (November 24, 2024)

After Saturday’s stellar day of horse racing, we have another cracking day ahead of us on Sunday.

Galopin Des Champs, Fastorslow, Fact To File and many more make their seasonal return today, but away from the John Durkan, I have two selections that look to have standout claims.

Here, you can also get the best offers and promotions from the leading online horse racing bookmakers to help you make your Sunday betting profitable.

Best bets for Sunday horse racing

  • Punchestown 11:35 Coco Beach
  • Punchestown 12:05 Son Of Anarchy
  • Punchestown 2:25 Galopin Des Champs

Punchestown 11:35 – Colm Quinn BMW Risk Of Thunder Chase (3m) (Cross Country)

Stumptown skipped Cheltenham last week for this, but he may have to play second fiddle to COCO BEACH.

He returns to the Punchestown Banks course, having travelled for the Velka Pardubicka se Slavia Pojist’ovnou last month only to unseat Jack Kennedy four out when still travelling well.

After a successful debut over the banks last season, Coco Beach returned to the Punchestown Festival, where he was sent off as a short-price favourite for the La Touche Cup. But the combination of a big run in the Grand National and the trip got the better of him on the day.

This race discipline will likely be his route for the season, with the primary aim being the Cross Country Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, and this should be a suitable race for him to get his head back in front on a course that he has won form at.

Coco Beach should prove hard to beat with a safe round of jumping.

Punchestown 12:05 – I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle (2m5½f)

This looks like a maiden to watch going forward, with Argento Boy making his hurdle debut and Springt De La Mare looking to come back from a fall in January.

But, the point-to-point winner, SON OF ANARCHY, can get his head in front the first time of asking over hurdles.

He was an impressive 15-length winner of his point-to-point, and the second and third have won a bumper since, which adds some substance to the form.

Gordon Elliott has won two of the last three runnings of this race and can add another win with Son Of Anarchy.

Punchestown 2:25 – Grade 1 John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase (2m3½f)

There is a stellar line-up for the 2024 John Durkan Chase, and one who I can not get away from is GALOPIN DES CHAMPS.

The two-time Gold Cup hero was turned over at short odds in this last season, but that was when he was held up and didn’t jump with any fluency. Yet, he was only just over one length off the winner, Fastorslow.

With more prominent tactics today, Galopin Des Champs has enough class and speed to claim his second John Durkan Chase.

At 7/2, he is a standout bet here.

  • Current Betting: Fact To File 2/1, Fastorslow 2/1, Galopin Des Champs 7/2, Spillane’s Tower 8/1, Grandclare West 18/1, 20/1 bar.
