We got a little teaser of what we’ve been missing since the jump season wrapped up back in April, as dual Stayers’ Hurdle winner Flooring Porter hacked up in the Kerry National.
It’s back to Killarney today, with more jumps action where my best horse racing betting tips will run.

Newmarket 3:20 Symbol Of Honour 5/2
Listowel 3:30 Rauzan 10/1
Listowel 4:05 Say It So 11/4
Listowel 5:10 Mossy Fen Park 11/4
Newmarket 3:20 – Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes (7f)
In my opinion, the betting may have it wrong by placing SYMBOL OF HONOUR second in the market.
He returned from a 63-day break following a gelding operation to run in the Listed Betfred Flying Scotsman Stakes at Doncaster, where he raced in isolation with another runner. The lack of a recent run seemed to show in the closing stages as he just failed to hold off the fast-finishing Benevento.
He’s entitled to improve from that effort, and with the promise of more to come, it’s hard not to see him being right in the mix.
The ground is an unknown factor, as it is for most of his rivals, but his sire Havana Grey has winning form on soft ground, so there’s hope that he will handle some give in the surface.
The obvious danger is the Ballydoyle runner, Monumental.
Current Betting: Monumental 11/8, Symbol Of Honour 5/2, The Waco Kid 5/1, Diego Ventura 13/2, Assertively 16/1, Huscal 16/1, Balzarini 33/1.

Listowel 3:30 – Listed Liam Healy Memorial Lartigue Hurdle (Handicap) (2m)
This is as competitive as they come, but the one who’s been on a winning spree and has been slightly overlooked in the betting is RAUZAN.
Trained by Eoin Doyle, who doesn’t find winners easily to come by but has done a fantastic job with this Aga Khan-bred colt. Rauzan has strung together an impressive four-timer, with victories ranging from 2m to 2m5f, showcasing his versatility.
His latest win was arguably his most impressive, running away with a 2m handicap hurdle at Tramore. A 9lb hike in the weights awaits him today, but there’s every reason to believe he can defy this kind of mark.
Ground conditions shouldn’t be an issue, and given the form he’s in, he looks like a standout each-way bet at the prices.
Current Betting: Eagles Reign 5/1, Pinot Gris 5/1, Intellotto 11/2, Jeaniemacaroney 7/1, Pigeon Hourse 8/1, Struck By Churchill 9/1, Rauzan 10/1, 11/1 bar.

Listowel 4:05 – Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle
I was a victim of my selection on his last start over hurdles when he got up late to beat The Striker Dylan at Cork, and that horse is Say It So.
To say he has his own way of doing things would be an understatement, but there’s definitely some talent there.
He was nearly left at the start and off the bridle on the way to the second hurdle. You would be forgiven for think that his chance had gone when turning for home as he looked to hav a mountain to climb.
But two brave jumps got him right back into contention and Say It So ended up winning quite comfortably.
There are risks attached to him, but with his trainer already in the winner’s enclosure yesterday, a 6lb rise should be more than manageable.
Current Betting: Say It So 11/4, Ah Remy Martin 9/2, Baltinglass Hill 9/2, Ifitwasme 9/1, Targa Flavio 10/1, Granderstown 10/1, 12/1 bar.

Listowel 5:10 – Thorn Plant Hire Beginners Chase (2m6f)
A cracking beginners’ chase here with many lively contenders, but the standout for me is MOSSY FEN PARK.
They haven’t wasted time with this lad over hurdles, but he showed solid form in his three runs. A win at Down Royal was followed by an excellent 2nd place in a competitive Grade 2 Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse in April.
He strikes me as the type that will flourish over fences, and we know how much improvement Henry de Bromhead can get from his hurdlers when transitioning to chasing.
This could be a very exciting horse for his new connections, who paid £235,000 to keep him in Waterford, and they may be about to start seeing a return on their investment.
With no ground concerns, it will take a very good horse to lower the colors of Mossy Fen Park today.
Current Betting: Mossy Fen Park 11/4, Billericay Dicky 10/3, Yeats Star 13/2, Dartan 15/2, Encanto Bruno 15/2, Good Time Johnny 8/1, 10/1 bar.
