Andy Murray is set to return to Wimbledon next summer – well, sort of.

The British tennis legend hung up his racket for the final time in August this year after competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

But now he is back after announcing a UK tour in 2025.

Joining Scottish broadcaster Andrew Cotter, Murray is set to visit four theatres around the UK with a show called ‘Centre Stage’.

Murray’s website says: “Marking a new chapter, Andy is stepping onto a new kind of stage for a different type of tour – one where he lifts the lid on his biggest moments, reflects on a unique career and provides behind-the-scenes access to the world of tennis.

“This is a rare opportunity to hear first-hand from one of the world’s most beloved and entertaining athletes.”

Along with dates in Hammersmith, Glasgow and Edinburgh, Murray’s final date will see him return to Wimbledon on Sunday, June 29.

The date is the day before the Grand Slam event at the All-England Club will get underway on Monday, June 30.

Wimbledon is a truly special place for the 37-year-old who enjoyed incredible success in SW19.

After finishing as runner up at Wimbledon in 2012, Murray went on to win the slam in both 2013 and 2016.

He also won gold for Team GB during the London 2012 Olympic Games at the All-England Club.

Murray then played at Wimbledon one more time this year in the doubles event with his brother, Jamie Murray.

Barring his final swansong at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, that appearance at Wimbledon was among the last appearances of his glittering career.

That career saw Murray win three grand slam crowns, two Olympic gold medals and become the world number one.

After retiring from the sport, the 37-year-old went viral after taking to X, saying: “Never even liked tennis anyway.”

With his dry wit and sporting excellence on display, Murray’s new show is bound to be an ace.
