Arne Slot has become just the fourth manager in history to win each of his first four Premier League away games.

Liverpool’s 1-0 win at Crystal Palace cemented their impressive start to the season and guaranteed top spot going into the international break.

The Reds dominated the first-half and went in front through Diogo Jota, before Slot’s men were forced to absorb some late pressure from the Eagles.

Slot has overseen victories against Ipswich, Manchester United, Wolves and now Crystal Palace as life in the post-Jurgen Klopp era continues to flourish.

The Dutchman’s impact since arriving at Anfield this summer has been exceptional with the only blemish on his record being the 1-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest last month.

And the records continue to fall for the ex-Feyenoord boss who appears at home in his new surroundings on Merseyside.

Wednesday’s Champions League victory over Bologna saw Slot register wins in eight of his first nine games across all competitions – the first Liverpool manager to do so.

And now the 46-year-old has joined an elite group of managers to have won their first four away league fixtures.

Slot joins former Chelsea boss Felipe Scolari, John Gregory and Bobby Gould in a distinct group of away-day specialists.

Ex Aston Villa boss Gregory won his first five away games, whilst ex-talkSPORT host Gould won his opening four on the road with Coventry City.

However, Slot will have some way to go to eclipse Brazilian head coach Scolari who was victorious on eight consecutive occasions at the start of the 2008/09 campaign.

August 17 – Ipswich 0-2 Liverpool
September 1 – Manchester United 0-3 Liverpool
September 28 – Wolves 1-2 Liverpool
October 5 – Crystal Palace 0-1 Liverpool

Slot jumped at the chance to succeed Klopp in what many believed to be an impossible job after the German’s successful eight years at the club.

Slot knows that whilst his side have delivered so far this season, bigger tests await in the coming weeks.

The Reds face Chelsea, Liverpool, Brighton, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Newcastle and Everton in the Premier League over the next two months.

Meanwhile, in the Champions League, Liverpool play RB Leipzig, Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen and Champions League holders Real Madrid.
