Gabriel Jesus was left with his head in his hands after being stretchered off the pitch of Arsenal’s FA Cup clash on Sunday.

The Arsenal star had started the third round clash against Manchester United and was enjoying a fierce battle with Lisandro Martinez in the early exchanges.

But Jesus’s game came to a premature end after tracking back to tackle Bruno Fernandes on the edge of his own box.

An awkward challenge saw the Man United star brought down, however, referee Andy Madley didn’t award the foul.

In a clear show of frustration, Fernandes then threw his boot to the ground in disgust and was subsequently yellow carded for dissent.

But despite it not being deemed a foul, it wasn’t good news for Jesus, who required treatment on the pitch.

Clearly in some distress, Arsenal’s medical team entered the field of play and brought a stretcher with them.

With his head in his hands, the Brazilian was stretchered off the pitch in worrying scenes as he was replaced by Raheem Sterling.

Jesus was also seen clutching his knee after an aerial duel with Martinez minutes earlier.

It’s been a frustrating season for the forward who has struggled for regular starts for the Gunners this term.

As a result Jesus had only scored one goal this season until December 18th when he netted a hat-trick against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup.

Since that day, the 27-year-old has netted six goals putting him in excellent form going into 2025.

Unfortunately his injury looks likely to halt any momentum that he was planning to build in the second half of the season.

Arsenal endured another setback at the start of the second half as they went behind when Bruno Fernandes rounded off a Man United counter-attack with an assured first-time finish.

The Gunners hit back on 63 minutes when Gabriel’s deflected strike beat Red Devils goalkeeper Altay Bayindir moments after Diogo Dalot was given a second yellow card after a late challenge on Gabriel Martinelli.

The home side then spurned a glorious chance to take the lead when Martin Odegaard’s penalty was saved by Bayindir.
