The wind was out in full gust on Saturday at The Players Championship.

And it caused havoc across the board.

Billy Horschel was able to sum up the day and its conditions perfectly with his on-course interview with NBC Sports analyst Cara Banks.

“I have no God honest control of my golf swing and don’t know where the golf ball is going right now,” Horschel told Banks.

“I’m trying to get into the house as fast as I can.”

Horschel was able to get back inside, but not before finishing 5-over 77.

Gusts were reportedly up to 25mph, making an already tough course nearly impossible to navigate.

J.J. Spaun battled the winds to take a one-shot lead heading into Sunday.

He shot a 2-under 70 on the day,

Lucas Glover, currently tied for third, also spoke on the windy conditions.

“It’s pretty razor thin around here anyway,” Glover said.

“And then you add in 25, 30 miles an hour with some gusts, it shrinks things even more. I did a good job where I was missing for the majority of the day, and there was a couple holes where you just can’t miss.”

Spaun leads the field heading into Sunday
Will Zalatoris started hot was tied for the lead, before he cratered 10 shots behind

Will Zalatoris was having himself a day before it all went sideways.

In the span of an hour, Zalatoris went from being tied for the lead to 10 shots behind in the blink of an eye.

Rory McIlroy also chimed in, after finishing the round with a 73, four shots behind the lead.

“Most of the dropped shots were from around-the-green mistakes rather than tee-to-green,” McIlroy said.

“I felt like I hit the ball pretty well, controlled my flight.

“Not out of it by any means.

“The wind is supposed to still be blowing tomorrow, so yeah, it was nice to birdie that just to get one closer to J.J. on the last.”

The forecast shows strong wind again on Sunday during the final round.

It’s up to Spaun to see if he can hang on and take home the $4.5 million purse.
