Express FC have sacked Baker Mbowa after the 1-0 loss to Lugazi.
This has been revealed in an undated statement signed by the club CEO Ashraf Miiro on Saturday October 26, 2024.
“The management of Express FC would like to inform the general public that it has parted ways with its Head coach Baker Mbowa. This was after mutual consent between the two parties,” read part of the statement.
In the meantime, Badru Kaddu has been left to handle the club on interim basis.
Mbowa was named Express FC head coach on March 5 on a two-year contract but has only served close to eight months.
He leaves the Red Eagles with 8 points out of six league matches in 9th position.
Overall, Mbowa, a fine footballer during playing career has managed 16 matches in all competitions winning only three matches, losing 11 and drawing two.
Mbowa is the fourth coach to lose his job in the Premier League so far after Richard Malinga (Mbale Heroes), Nikola Kavazovic (Vipers) and Sadick Sempigi (Lugazi FC).
