BatBall and the Uganda Cricket Association have inked a four-year partnership to grow and develop the youth game in Uganda.
BatBall started its relationship with Uganda Cricket in 2022 by organizing youth tournaments across the country. The tournaments targeted players aged U-19, and the goal was to give more events to the youngsters as they learned the game.
The BatBall events included the BatBall Open, a regional event that engaged youngsters in the North, East, West, Central and Nile regions. The best teams from these regional events met in the BatBall X tournament.
The BatBall Maxx tournament slated for December this year will also mark a return of BatBall activities in Uganda. The return of BatBall activities comes after signing a four-year deal with Uganda Cricket Association, the body in charge of running cricket activities in Uganda. BatBall Maxx will feature the young talent from the BatBall Open and BatBall X tournaments with a touch of national team players and big-name players.
The BatBall events are designed to create pathways for youngsters so that talent can be able to take off. This is a great opportunity for the young players to compete amongst themselves. Besides the school league competitions, there have been few tournaments for youngsters to compete.
