Bayer Leverkusen will not stand in Xabi Alonso’s way of joining Real Madrid, talkSPORT understands.
The Spanish giants are expected to part ways with Carlo Ancelotti following their Champions League exit.

Ancelotti will meet with the club following the Copa del Rey final on April 26.
The Italian could leave at the end of the campaign or following the Club World Cup this summer.
Jurgen Klopp had also been linked with succeeding him but has never been a candidate for Real Madrid.
The former Liverpool boss has been Red Bull’s head of global soccer since signing a four-year deal in January.
Meanwhile, Ancelotti is the leading candidate to become the new Brazil boss.
The 65-year-old is in his second spell in the Spanish capital having returned to the club in 2021.
Across his two tenures, Ancelotti has won 15 major trophies including the Champions League on three occasions.
However, Real Madrid are at risk of ending the campaign with just the UEFA Super Cup to their name.
As well as last week’s Champions League exit, his side are seven points adrift of La Liga leaders Barcelona.
The two sides meet in next Saturday’s Copa del Rey final, which had been reported as Ancelotti’s final match.
As for Alonso, he is set to enter the final year of his contract at Leverkusen.
It comes after he guided them to their first-ever Bundesliga title last season without losing a single match.
Alonso previously began his coaching career at Real Madrid working with the club’s academy.
He also spent five years at the Santiago Bernabeu as a player between 2009 and 2014.
