Harry Kane may be enjoying another stunning season – but Bayern Munich chiefs are reportedly already eyeing up his long-term successor.
The 31-year-old continues to turn heads in his second campaign at the Allianz Arena – chipping in with 17 goals and eight assists from 14 matches this term.
Since joining from Tottenham in 2023, Kane has scored 61 goals from 59 games for Bayern as he looks to finally scoop silverware for the first time in his career.
But while the England skipper is tied down at the club until 2027, Bayern are claimed to be looking ahead to life after the European Golden Boot holder.
According to Sport Bild, the Bundesliga leaders have drafted up a four-man shortlist.
That includes Sporting Lisbon’s marksman Viktor Gyokeres, who fired in a hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Sweden international already has 23 goals to his name this season, but Bayern – and other potential suitors know he won’t come cheap.
Gyokeres boasts a release clause of £84million, with the 26-year-old admitting in September that he was priced out of a move in the summer.
But Bayern will likely have to battle Arsenal for his signature, with Mikel Arteta known to be a huge admirer of the ex-Coventry star.
It has been suggested that the Bavarian outfit also have RB Leipzig duo Benjamin Sesko and Lois Openda on their radar.
Sesko has found the back of the net seven times this season, while Openda boasts six goals to his name.
However Sesko is another player that Arsenal have monitored in the past, with the 21-year-old snubbing a summer switch to the Emirates to continue his development at the Red Bull Arena.
Though reports state that the Gunners could look to reignite their interest in the youngster in 2025.
The fourth man on Bayern’s wishlist is Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush.
A scintillating season so far has seen the 25-year-old bang in 12 goals from 14 outings – while also laying on nine assists for his teammates.
Marmoush is just one of two players in Europe’s top five leagues alongside Kane that has scored at least ten goals and supplied five assists.
Bayern fans were left wowed by the Egyptian in the thrilling 3-3 draw with Frankfurt last month which saw the former Wolfsburg man directly involved in three goals.
However Liverpool have been heavily linked with a swoop for the player, with it remaining to be seen whether they will formalise their interest next year.
There is no suggestion Kane is about to leave or be pushed out. It is more a case of being ready like they were when Robert Lewandowski left for Barcelona and Kane moved from Tottenham Hotspur.
A more pressing matter for Bayern boss Vincent Kompany would be to address their Champions League form ahead of their clash against Benfica on Wednesday night.
They currently sit outside of the knockout phase play-off positions in 25th spot following back-to-back defeats against Aston Villa and Barcelona.
