Frazer Clarke and Ben Whittaker both have separate dates to return to the ring in 2025.

Clarke and Whittaker were in action on a stacked card headlined by Artur Beterbiev‘s win over Dmitry Bivol in Riyadh last month.

Heavyweight star ‘Big Fraze’ suffered a nasty injury in his rematch defeat to Fabio Wardley, with a visible ‘dent’ in his head seeing the fight stopped in just the first round.

Meanwhile, Whittaker was left with injuries after tumbling out of the ring in his fight with Liam Cameron, and was unable to continue leaving the arena in a wheelchair.

BOXXER promoter Ben Shalom, the spokesperson for both British operators, has revealed the pair have targeted dates next year on separate shows.

He told Sky Sports on Clarke: “Frazer thankfully has suffered no real long-term damage.

“He had the brain scan it was just a break in the jaw and was able to be operated on. He will need the rest of the year to recover.

“He will get back in the gym and April is the target month for him. And that is testament to him the way he has dealt with it.”

When addressing Whittaker’s return, he added: “Ben, I spoke to him last week.

“Again we are looking at March. We could all see the ankle was hurt, but I also think it was the neck for me.

“He was out for eight or nine months before with the neck again the year before.

“Precaution we wants to make sure that is A-okay. He will fight next year in February or March in a big homecoming.

“The [rematch against Liam Cameron] is the fight at the front of my mind and the front of his mind.”

Clarke faces a big rebuild to get back to challenging for domestic titles, given the brutal nature of his defeat.

But for Whittaker it was even more of a turning point, given it was the early stages of his young career.

It was a damaging blow with the fight declared a draw, given he was expected to beat Cameron comfortably.

His rival has been campaigning for an immediate sequel, having felt aggrieved with the astonishing outcome.

“I don’t want to be critical of the lad, but he was not nice all fight week,” Cameron told talkSPORT.

“I saw him at the airport and I nodded to him, because I’m a gentleman and I thought I’ll be nice, we hadn’t got to the fight yet.

“And he was talking down to me. I thought, ‘Do you know what? I’m going to get you.

“I’m going to keep calm and I’m going to show you in that ring.’

“Ben Whittaker is in a really bad position because he has to fight me again. And he can’t beat me. There’s no way of that,” Cameron continued.

“He cannot beat me. There’s no way on this planet Earth he can ever beat me.

“Ben needs the rematch. I can go all different paths, obviously, with Frank Warren backing me.”
