The Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks battle it out in a NL West divisional matchup.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks headline Tuesday’s slate of games in what should be an exciting matchup between two NL West divisional foes.
With the Diamondbacks offense performing at a very high level, expect Yoshinobu Yamamoto to struggle to sustain his high level of play on the mound.
With 15 other games taking place on Tuesday’s slate, there are plenty of prop bets to groom through which you can read below.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs Arizona Diamondbacks (10:10pm, EST)
Yoshinobu Yamamoto under 5.5 strikeouts: (+110) at Fanduel Sportsbook
After struggling to live up to the hype in his rookie campaign, Yoshinobu Yamamoto has managed to round back into form as the Dodgers pitcher is currently averaging an ERA of 2.12 and FIP of 3.05. Unfortunately for Yamamoto, negative regression looms large as he faces off against an Diamondbacks offense who excels at generating Hits as their top-8 mark in Contact Rate indicates.
This hurts Yamamoto’s chances of generating Strikeouts, especially while dealing with a shoulder injury that he sustained earlier in the year. At less than 100%, expect Yamamoto to struggle to generate Whiffs and stay under his total in Strikeouts.
Corbin Carroll over 0.5 single: (+105) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Correlating this prop with the previously mentioned one, the Diamondbacks Corbin Carroll is in a position to thrive as the reigning NL Rookie of the Year award winner excels at making contact.
A little over a quarter into the season, Carroll averages over one Hit per game, a 0.279 Batting Average, and an OPS of 0.940.
Escalator bet Carroll’s batting props by placing a full size wager on him to hit a single and smaller wagers on his alternate totals.
Detroit Tigers vs St. Louis Cardinals (7:45pm, EST)
Masyn Winn under 0.5 hit: (+120) at FanDuel Sportsbook
After building some momentum over the past few weeks of play, the St. Louis Cardinals offense are poised to struggle as they face off against Tarik Skubal who averages less than one Hit Against per Inning Pitched and a WHIP of 0.926.
The Tigers defense also grade out well in coverage as they head into the contest ranked sixth overall in Defensive Efficiency.
Skubal’s high level of individual production spells potential disaster for Masyn Winn as the Cardinals batter fails to make contact at a league average rate by averaging less than one Hit per game. Barring an error in the outfield, expect Winn to be held without a Hit.
Philadelphia Phillies vs Colorado Rockies (8:40pm, EST)
Jesus Luzardo under 2.5 earned runs: (-145) at BetMGM Sportsbook
Even when receiving minimal support from his defense, Jesus Luzardo has been able to neutralize opposing offenses with his own individual production as the Philadelphia Phillies pitcher averages an ERA of 2.00 and a FIP of 2.35.
His success stems from his ability to avoid contact as Luzardo also averages less than one Hit Against per Inning Pitched and a WHIP of 1.185.
Expect Luzardo to keep a clean sheet against Colorado as he faces off against a Rockies offense who ranks near the bottom of the board in Team Total Hits, RBIs, Total Runs Scored, and in On Base Percentage. For some more exposure, also place a wager on Luzardo to generate over 6.5 Strikeouts (+120) at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Trea Turner over 1.5 hits: (+120) at FanDuel Sportsbook
On the other side of the field, the Philadelphia Phillies offense are in a position to sustain their high level of play as they face off against Antonio Senzatela who currently leads the NL in total Hits Against while generating a WHIP of 1.992.
His back end also struggles to mask his low level of play as the Rockies defense ranks dead last in Defensive Efficiency and in Fielding Percentage.
Senzatela’s struggles on the mound bodes well for Trea Turner as the former league leader in Hits is fresh off of a three Hit performance in his last game out against the Rockies.
With Turner generating a Batting Average of 0.294 and over one Hit per game, expect the Phillies star batter to carry over his momentum and string together another dominant performance.
