There may not be a bigger Deebo Samuel fan than LeSean McCoy.

On FS1’s morning talkshow, The Facility, McCoy made a statement that left the audience scratching its head.

“Deebo is the best player in football when the ball is in his hands, running back or wide receiver,” McCoy said.

Forget Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.

Don’t even mention Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, Myles Garett or Saquon Barkley to McCoy.

He put Samuel at the top, and the proceeded to defend himself.

“Because I can put you in the backfield to make plays, I can put you at wide receiver to make plays.

“He’s a guy that wherever he’s playing, or whatever the game plan is with Deebo, you gotta circle him.

“Watch out for No. 19, No. 1, whatever his number is with Washington.”

Samuel was traded from the San Francisco 49ers to the Washington Commanders in late February.

He now joins forces with Jayden Daniels.

And McCoy believes that’s going to take his game to the next level because of it.

“When you have a superstar quarterback that can throw and he can run, you got to watch the whole field,” McCoy said.

“This is a big move.”

Samuel earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors in 2021 when he finished with 1,770 yards from scrimmage and 14 total touchdowns.

However since then, he has come nowhere near that type of production.

This outlandish statement by the former NFL great, led fans to question the validity of McCoy’s opinions.

‘We need to collectively stop giving this show a platform. The amount of inaccurate nonsense they shout so confidently, is wild,’ one fan posted on X.

‘He just begging to go viral,’ another chimed in.

‘He is living on Jupiter,’ one fan joked.

In 2024, Samuel had less than 700 receiving yards and only four total touchdowns.

It was precarious statement made by McCoy, that the audience clearly didn’t seem to care for.
