Day One of the Cheltenham Festival did not disappoint and Wednesday is primed for more high octane action featuring the Champion Chase.

While Day One provided drama the shocks of the day came from odds-on bankers Constitution Hill and Majborough not winning, but punters have a chance to get back at the bookies with bet365’s Supercomputer predictions for Day Two.

Powered by 25 years of data, the Supercomputer has analysed each horse’s characteristics, including age, past results, betting positions, and trainer records, to predict which horse will cross the finish line first in each race of the Festival.

Cheltenham Supercomputer predictions

Wednesday’s action kicks off with the Turners Novices’ Hurdle and the supercomputer has predicted the strong market contender and Willie Mullins-trained Final Demand.

There are no surprises tipped up by the Supercomputer for the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase either, as odds-on favourite Ballyburn has seen strong market support.

The first big prediction comes in the Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle, with Beat The Bat tipped to triumph at a tempting 12/1.

A large and very competitive field will have punters looking for each-way value with this horse a wise bet.

Race number four is the 15:20 Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase which is expected to be a comfortable ride for Stumptown, who is both odds on with the bookies and the Supercomputer’s predicted winner.

The feature race of the day, the Queen Mother Champion Chase, is poised to be a thriller.

Jonbon heads the betting, but the Supercomputer is backing Energumene to pull off a huge upset which punters will be accustomed to after Tuesday’s action.

However, this wouldn’t be too much of a shock for recently retired jockey, Aidan Coleman, who thinks Jonbon isn’t at his best around the Cheltenham track.

Coleman explained: “Tracks are important, and that’s why I think Jonbon is beatable around Cheltenham. Whether he’s beatable in this Champion Chase, I’m not sure, because I can’t see who’s good enough to beat him, to be honest. But in my strong opinion, he’s not at his best around Cheltenham.”

The penultimate contest of the day, the Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Handicap Chase, sees another potential outsider, with The King Of Prs flagged as a 9/1 shot amongst another large field with big prices all around.

We’re expected to see a grandstand finish in the 17:20 Weatherbys Champion Bumper as Copacabana is tipped to cruise to victory by both the bookmakers and bet365 Supercomputer alike, who has also seen punters flocking to the Mullins-trained horse.

bet365 is also giving horse racing fans the chance to take on the ‘6 Horse Challenge’, where predicting six winners from six selected races can see you win up to an incredible £100,000. Customers can make their predictions and take on this free challenge here.
