Premier League Darts is back!

The 2025 season starts at the SSE Arena in Belfast on Thursday, February 6th. Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler is the star attraction, but the world champion will have stiff competition from Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen, who also make up part of a world-class eight-player field.

Littler is the defending Premier League Darts champion and is the betting favourite to win the title again. The Nuke will kick off his 2025 campaign with a mouth-watering showdown against Michael van Gerwen on Week 1.

Best darts bets for February 6th

  • Gerwyn Price to have more 180s than Chris Dobey at 6/5
  • Stephen Bunting to win Week 1 at 7/1
  • Luke Littler to beat MVG at 12/25
  • Luke Humphries (-1.5 legs) to beat Nathan Aspinall at 13/25

Odds are provided by BetMGM and are subject to change.

Premier League darts odds for Week 1

The quarter-final lineup for Week 1 has already been announced. Chris Dobey and Gerwyn Price will get the night’s action underway, with the winner of that match facing Stephen Bunting or Rob Cross in the semi-final. In the bottom half of the draw, the best darts betting sites are strongly favouring wins for Luke Littler over MVG, and Luke Humphries over Nathan Aspinall. Below are the latest odds for the opening night quarter-final matches:

  • Chris Dobey 11/10 vs Gerwyn Price 4/6
  • Stephen Bunting 3/5 vs Rob Cross 5/4
  • Luke Littler 12/25 vs Michael van Gerwen 8/5
  • Nathan Aspinall 12/5 vs Luke Humphries 3/10

Odds are provided by BetMGM and are subject to change.

Premier League Darts predictions

Luke Littler is the 9/4 favourite to win Premier League Darts Week 1 in Belfast. Littler’s closest rival is Luke Humphries at 11/4.

For Luke Littler to win Week 1, he will first have to overcome Michael van Gerwen, and then probably Luke Humphries in the last four, just to make it to the final.

Beating Humphries won’t be easy. The world No.1 is fresh from winning the PDC World Masters last Sunday, with a deciding-leg shootout victory over Jonny Clayton.

The 6-5 win over the Ferret saw Humphries lift his seventh major PDC title and means he starts the Premier League in good form and full of confidence.

With the two star attractions in the same half of the draw, the better betting value to win on the night looks to be in the top half of the draw. Stephen Bunting has the shortest odds of the quartet at 7/1, Gerwyn Price is 8/1, Chris Dobey 10/1, and Rob Cross is 12/1.

Premier League darts betting tips

Luke Littler will be keen to establish himself as the early front-runner on the opening night of the 2025 Premier League Darts season. Littler makes up part of our Week 1 Premier League Darts betting tips, which can be found below:

Gerwyn Price to have more 180s than Chris Dobey

Gerwyn Price is the 4/6 favourite to beat Chris Dobey. Welshman Price has won 12 of his last 13 matches with Dobey, so he clearly has the wood over his English opponent.

Furthermore, Chris Dobey has started 2025 slowly, only winning one match since his run to the semi-final of the world championships. His win came against Bassim Mahmood in the opening round of the Bahrain Masters. Dobey’s defeats have come against Bunting, Raymond van Barneveld and Ryan Searle.

We expect Price to win this match. Back him to win at 4/6 if you prefer. But Price is 6/5 to have more 180s in the draw no bet market.

Stephen Bunting to win Week 1

Stephen Bunting is having the time of his life in the PDC.

The popular Liverpudlian made it to the last four of the world championship at the Ally Pally and is also up to No.5 in the PDC world rankings.

There is no Littler, Humphries or MVG in Bunting’s half of the draw. And with the ‘Bullet’ taking his 2024 form into the new year he has a great chance of making it to the final, where anything could happen.

Bunting has also become a cult hero with darts fans and will have the crowd on his side in most of his matches throughout the night and the whole competition.

Luke Littler to beat Michael van Gerwen

Luke Littler has the edge over Michael van Gerwen in recent meetings. The Nuke has won their last four, including the 2025 World Darts Championship final at the Alexandra Palace at the beginning of the year.

Littler will know that van Gerwen is a dangerous opponent and is capable of winning the Premier League outright if he gets back to his best on a consistent basis.

The best way to prevent this from happening is to keep beating MVG and continually eat away at his self-belief. Littler will be keen to keep doing this.

Luke Humphries (-1.5 legs) to beat Nathan Aspinall

A lot of darts fans thought Nathan Aspinall was very lucky to be named as one of the four wild cards to get picked for the Premier League.

Aspinall has been in poor form in recent months and has had to deal with constant scrutiny over his place on the 17-week roadshow.

The Asp will no doubt want to shut his critics up. But he is up against Luke Humphries who is fresh from winning the PDC World Masters last weekend.
