Ever wondered how a race between Usain Bolt and a greyhound would go? Well, now that question has been answered.

Bolt is the fastest man in history, still holding the 100m and 200m world records many years after breaking them.

But in a new simulation shared online by Global Data it gives us an insight into how the Jamaican cannot compare to the fastest dog breed.

It uses Bolt’s 100m record of 9.58 seconds at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin.

The world of athletics seems years away from anyone breaking the 9.6 seconds mark, let alone the world record.

Although 17-year-old sprinting sensation Gout Gout has been heralded as the next Bolt.

However, a greyhound smashes that time with ease.

As soon as the starting gun went, the greyhound built a lead that grew larger with every paw print.

In fact, the greyhound was nearly halfway down the track within three seconds while Bolt had barely made it 10 metres.

For once, Bolt looked outclassed, finishing the race behind the victor in tortoise-like fashion.

It ran 100m in 5.8 seconds, but the dog breed is actually capable of running a faster time.

Brett Lee, a legendary racing greyhound reportedly hit a time of 5.53 seconds in 2001.

It is a record that betters what is typically crowned the fastest land animal, the cheetah.

In 2012, Cincinnati Zoo in Ohio, USA, recorded a time of 5.95 seconds.

Greyhounds are known to clock speeds of over 43 miles per hour.

There have been many simulations of Bolt running against animals and famous athletes, such as current Olympic champion Noah Lyles, Kylian Mbappe and a cheetah.

None have dominated Bolt like the greyhound but that will not take away from the achievements he managed.

Bolt, known for his entertaining and light hearted personality, dominated his sport for years winning 100m and 200m gold medals in three successive Olympic Games in 2008, 2012 and 2016.

Widely regarded as the greatest sprinter of all time, Bolt’s dominance in the 100m and 200m events earned him eight Olympic gold medals and 11 World Championship titles.
