Blackburn vs Preston prediction
Blackburn Rovers are the clear favourites to win this clash on Friday night; they are in a much higher position in the table, they’re at home and yet they won’t have much confidence from neutrals after picking up four losses from their last five in the league.
Rover sit 7th in the table now, just two points off of Middlesbrough and West Brom.
Blackburn have hit some poor form recently with losses to Burnley, Oxford, Coventry, and Bristol City.
Even in the last nine they’ve failed to win on eight occasions, with another two losses to Millwall and Hull in December.
They face a Preston side who’ve just hit some good form, winning against Watford and Middlesbrough 2-1, now up to just 15th in the table though.
Preston have as many as 13 draws this season, the second most in the league only behind West Brom (14).
Blackburn really haven’t been seeing many draws at all, with just six all season and seem to just either win or lose, but perhaps Preston will bring it out of them and they may both be happy to take a point in these trying times.

11/10 on Blackburn to win doesn’t quite scream value to me, but a draw looks more likely and much better price.
And even more so when you see these two sides have drawn against each other three times in their last four meetings in the Championship.
With a 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture and a 2-2 score back in February last year.
There’s no clear winner when it comes to the head-to-head stats either with Blackburn winning in the 2023/24 season, but both traded blows in 2022, both winning 4-1 away from home in two separate seasons.
This is a wide open contest regardless and it makes sense to follow the trend of their recent results.
