It is the top of the table contest in the 2024-2025 FUFA Big League as the first round nears its climax.

Current table leaders Gaddafi lock-horns against Blacks Power at the Akii Bua memorial stadium in Lira city, where a capacity crowd is anticipated.

This is one game that will keep the fans and respective technical benches off their toes.

Both clubs are former top tier sides and are eager to attain promotion by close of business in the 2024-2025 season.

Gaddafi is under promotional specialist Allan Kabonge and has attained 29 points, three better than Bob Obira’s Blacks Power.

These two clubs have a couple of tried and tested players; with Davis Kasirye and Congolese import Jonathan Mbula leading the forward-line for Gaddafi.

Team captain Thomas Kakaire, Samuel Junior Kawawa, Yasin Mugume, Duncan Sseninde as well as former Onduparaka and Vipers utility player Ahmed Amayo are in central midfield.

Two outstanding solid defenders Savio Kabugo and Brian Enzama shield the goalkeeper with Duncan Ssemakula and Simon Namwanja offering the right back and left back options respectively.

Blacks Power is led by Nathan Oloro, a former player at Kitara whilst the free scoring Nigerian national Innocent Maduka is a real threat to all the opposition teams he has faced.

Other players of substance in the Blacks Power camp include Bishop Henry Orom, goalkeepers Michael Okiria and Emmanuel Odongkara, Haron Odongo, Misaki Opio, Brian Ogwal, Okello, among others.
