The Boston Celtics received their championship rings for winning an NBA record, eighteenth championship, and they didn’t disappoint.

Each ring features a total of 15 carats of white diamonds.

That includes 34 emerald cut diamonds and 194 points of diamonds.

In other words, the Celtics ‘got a really big team and they needed some really big rings.‘

It is of similar taste to the Kansas City Chiefs‘ most recent Super Bowl ring, which cost $40,000 each.

The Celtics’s rings look to have taken it up a level, which you can do when you now have the most championships in the league.

Previously tied with the Los Angeles Lakers at 17 apiece, the Celtics now sit alone at the top with Banner 18 officially being raised into the rafters.

After dispatching Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in five games in last season’s NBA Finals, the Celtics are now looking to become the first back-to-back champion since Steph Curry and Kevin Durant did it with the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018.

Led by star-duo Jayson Tatum and last year’s Final’s MVP, Jaylen Brown, with all of their returning cast back, the Celtics head into the season as favorites to win it all once again.

Receiving their rings before their season-opener against the New York Knicks, they were able to revel in the moment and fit their rings on their fingers and watch as banner 18 was lifted into the rafters.

The rings also included a first of its kind NFC chip.

This allows the recipient to put their phone against the wood parquet on the inside of the ring and reveal a video of each person’s ring and how it was made.

It was a ring that has been alluding the Celtics for quite some time, especially Tatum and Brown.

As a franchise, they hadn’t won a title since Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo hoisted the Larry O’Brien all the way back in 2008.

Since then, they had come close, but were never able to finish the job.

Before getting over the hump last season, Tatum and Brown had been to five Eastern Conference Finals together, only winning one, before losing to Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors in 2022.

Last year they were finally able to put it all together and have one of the most dominant postseason runs of all time, finishing 16-3, claiming title eighteen in the process.

And now all eyes are on #19.

“This is special,” Tatum said, addressing the crowd moments before tip-off.

“Let’s enjoy this moment together, I can honestly say to the best fans in the world, let’s do it again.”

The rings were created in collaboration with renowned jeweler, Jason Arashben and his company, Jason of Beverly Hills.

“We collaborated closely with the Celtics ownership on the ring design,” Arashben said.

“The Celtics had 17 championships before last season, which means they’ve had 17 championship rings before us. We all wanted to make sure the 18th was the best and most memorable.”

Safe to say, ring number 18 takes the cake.
