Manchester United return to action this weekend looking to get back to winning ways after falling to a 1-0 home defeat by Wolves last time out, leaving them with just one win from their last six games in all competitions and without a win in four Premier League games.
Ruben Amorim’s side currently sit way down in 14th place in the Premier League table with only five league games remaining, in what looks set to be the club’s lowest league finish since their promotion back into the top flight 50 years ago.
The Red Devils make the trip down to the Dorset coast having lost three of their last four league games, and slightly more than half an eye this weekend will be on their Europa League semi final first leg in Bilbao on Thursday night.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, are still firmly in the race for the eighth and final European spot on offer in the Premier League table this season.
Andoni Iraola’s side currently sit eighth in the final European berth, though are only four points above 12th placed Crystal Palace in five-team battle for a spot in next season’s Conference League.
The Cherries prepare for the visit of the Red Devils having won only one of their last 10 matches within 90 minutes, though that victory did come in their most recent home fixture against Fulham a fortnight ago, and are currently on a three game unbeaten run.
Manchester United are winless in their last three matches against Bournemouth, which includes two heavy home defeats, but have only lost on one of their last six visits to Dorset, of which they’ve won four.
