Gerwyn Price responded to a whistling heckler in style during his Premier League defeat to Luke Humphries.
The second night of the Premier League unfolded at the OVO Arena in Glasgow, with it being the first time a Scottish player was not present for this leg of the invitational tournament.

But nonetheless there was a whole host of box office players flocking to the venue, including Welshman Price.
Price came up against world No.1 Luke Humphries in a thrilling semi-final and was booed during his walk-on.
‘The Iceman’ is known to regularly be the subject of crowd heckling and abuse, but he never lets that faze him.
Fans are normally banned from whistling during a player’s throw, but one decided to do exactly that regularly on Price’s turn at the oche.
And during the fourth leg, Price was being whistled after pinning three trebles 20’s to land a maximum.
As he turned around to the crowd after hitting the perfect three darts, Price incredibly whistled back.
Humphries burst out laughing with Price as the pair played in good spirits on stage.
They fist bumped before Price turned around and mouthed ‘f*** off’ in response to the heckler as he faced the board again.
This isn’t the first time the Welshman has had that response to a whistling heckler, having done the same during his 2023 clash with Dmitry Van Den Bergh in Aberdeen.
Price was clearly unimpressed with the attempts to distract him from his sensational rhythm.

But he took it extremely well and fans came out in their numbers to react to the stunning incident.
One wrote: “That Gerwyn Price whistle is the best thing I’ve ever seen in darts.”
Another agreed: “Gerwyn Price is pure box office. That whistle haha. This is why he has been selected.”
A viewer added: “Gerwyn Price turning round and whistling back to the crowd is just vintage arrows. Proper brilliant character.”
A final fan concluded: “You just have to love it. That shut that heckler up.”
Commentator Mark Webster even remarked: “Whistling is something which grates with the players.”

Unfortunately for Price, despite his response, he was eliminated by the flying ‘Cool Hand’.
Price was 4-2 up and found himself just two legs away from setting up a final with Luke Littler.
But Humphries produced a vintage display to restore his domination that he has shown all tournament so far, rallying to a 6-4 victory.
The Leeds native was clearly sympathetic to Price who had been treated poorly by the fan in the arena.
He will hope for much more support on week eight, when he goes on to home soil to play in front of a raucous crowd in Welsh capital Cardiff.
