Bright talent Hasnan Ali was left in a bad way on his debut by late notice replacement Tommy Sams.
Ali had been tipped for big things in the sport and was making his debut on the undercard of Charlie Edwards’ win over Thomas Essomba at the iconic York Hall.

His rival Sams had accepted the fight on just 24 hours notice, showing his resilience and determination to compete on a big platform.
And he proved exactly that and came flying out of the traps to prove why he was undefeated after his first three fights in the sport.
It was a highly anticipated debut for Ali, but he never had time to get going as Sams smothered him from the opening bell.
He seemed composed but failed to defend a ferocious right hand from Sams after just seconds, which rocked his world.
Ali was clearly severely stunned by the shot and failed to regain his legs as his rival unloaded a barrage of shots through his dropped guard.
Sams took control and the referee saw no choice but to halt the action, diving in between the pair to wave off the contest.
Eddie Hearn watched on from ringside, as Ali was stopped and handed a cruel blow to the early stages of his career.
He was able to return to his corner but after being helped on the stool, was attended to by a team of medics.
They quickly placed him in an oxygen mask as he looked dazed, and needed to administer it to regain his health.
Ali was then brought back to his feet and was in a much better condition after the brutal stoppage.

He trudged back to the changing room gingerly, but had avoided any severe injury or lasting damage.
It was an incredible moment for Sams, who after checking on the health of his rival, had reflected on his incredible feat.
He told reporters: “It was raining all day, I finished work, got home at 2.30pm and got the call. I said yeah I’ll take it.
“I was definitely coming for the win. I saw his hands going low so I’d see if he could take [the power].
“I’m buzzing, I feel mint, so proud.”
Ali now faces a challenging task to get back on track, and will need to recover before assessing his next options.
