Paddy Power Offer: POWER UP YOUR RACING ACCA BY 20% On tonight’s Breeders’ Cup races – CLAIM HERE*
There are as many as 14 Grade 1 contests in the Breeders’ Cup weekend which doesn’t even account for every single race of the highlight of the flat in the US.
The prizemoney and occasion attracts the best horses around the world with Irish, British, Japanese and more heading to California to try and scoop the famous races.
Tonight’s race fixtures are:
- 8.25: Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Stakes 1m
- 9.45: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (Grade 1) 5f
- 10.25: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies – Dirt (Grade 1) 1m½f
- 11.05: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (Grade 1) 1m
- 11.45: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (Grade 1) 1m½f
- 12.25: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (Grade 1) 1m
The turf sprint sees a few familiar faces, including a domination from British and Irish horses all of which occupy amongst the top of the betting.
Aesterius, Big Mojo, Whistlejacket, Shareholder, Ides Of March, Arizona Blaze and Magnum Force take on the favourite Ecoro Sieg trained by Japan’s Hideyuki Mori.
The British two-year-olds do have more experience but the Japanese horse is very unexposed but has only been seen over 6f so far.
Lake Victoria is now the odds-on favourite for tonight’s Juvenile Fillies Turf over 1m, with Ryan Moore on board for another classic Aidan O’Brien runner.
The big races of the evening the Juvenile Turf for two-year-old colts and geldings sees Oisin Murphy on board the favourite New Century trained by Andrew Balding.
While Al Qudra is only narrowly behind in the betting at 11/2 trained by Charlie Appleby and ridden by James Doyle, both of which could have a great Breeders’ Cup with their respective rides and runners.
Appleby also has Aomoria City in this race who has William Buick up, before they have a busy Saturday with the favourite Rebel’s Romance in the Breeders’ Cup Turf, paying over £2m to the winner.
