Brentford v Bournemouth predictions

Brentford will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon after suffering a demoralising defeat against Fulham in a west London derby on Monday, with the Bees conceding twice in added time to turn what looked like three points into zero.

Thomas Frank’s side will be deleted to be back playing in front of their home fans on their own patch on the weekend, having picked up 100% of their 13 points in the Premier League this season at the Gtech, a tally which gives them the best home record out of any team in the top flight.

Monday’s defeat leaves the Bees 12th in the table heading into the new weekend, but just three points off the top eight in what is a tightly congested Premier League table.

Bournemouth make the trip to the capital having taken seven points from their last three games which have been against three of last season’s top four sides.

A draw away at Aston Villa was sandwiched either side by victories over Arsenal, and most recently Manchester City, dealing the four-time defending champions a first league defeat of the season last weekend.

The Cherries have now lost just one of their last five matches, with their recent run of form taking them into the top half of the table, where they currently sit 10th, but only three points off the top four, which they will have half an eye as they take on Brentford this weekend.

The south coast side have won only one of their last nine matches against the Bees, and haven’t beaten Brentford away from home in 11 games, spanning 19 years.

Brentford, with the best home record in the Premier League and unbeaten at home in 11 against Bournemouth, will back themselves to add three more points to their tally and burst the Bournemouth bubble after consecutive home wins against title challengers.

The last two league games at the Gtech Community Stadium have been 4-3 and 5-3 scorelines, so goals can be expected on Saturday, I think a thrilling 3-2 Brentford win could well be on the cards.

Brentford v Bournemouth betting tips

Only Erling Haaland has scored more goals in the Premier League this season than Bryan Mbeumo, who has scored eight in 10 games in the competition so far.

Seven of those eight goals have been scored at the Gtech Community Stadium, with the Cameroonian forward scoring in every home game for the Bees so far this season, scoring those seven goals across five matches.

As mentioned prior, the Bees boast the best home record in the league, with the last two matches finishing with 4-3 and 5-3 scorelines, and more goals can be expected on Saturday between two teams who play entertaining attacking football.

  • Bryan Mbeumo to score – 6/4 at Betfred
  • Brentford to win, both teams to score, over 3.5 goals – 13/2 at Betfred
