Brentford v Everton prediction
Brentford head into their midweek Premier League clash with Everton as favourites for victory having strung together back to back wins in the league for the first time this season following their 4-0 win at Southampton on Friday night.
Thomas Frank’s side are now sat in 11th place in the Premier League table, five points behind the top half following Tuesday night’s matches with two matches in hand over 10th placed Aston Villa.
The Bees boasted the home record in the Premier League for the first half of the season, but have earned only one point from their last five matches at the Gtech Community Stadium since, though those games have come against four of the top five teams in the league and Tottenham.
Everton have been making large strides in their resurgence under David Moyes following the sacking of Sean Dyche in January, with the Toffees unbeaten in their last six league games, of which they’ve won four.
The Scot took charge of the side when they were just a point clear, and six weeks into his second spell at Goodison Park the club are now 14 points clear of the drop zone and very much looking up the table rather than down it.
The Merseyside club had only won one league game away from home before Moyes came in, who has won both of his matches away from home and will have their tails up ahead of their trip to the capital tonight.
Brentford are winless in their last five matches against the Toffees, though Frank leads Moyes 5-2 in their managerial head-to-head prior to tonight.
The Bees’ rough time at home in recent weeks has coincided with a rotten run of fixtures at home, so will see tonight’s game as a great chance to get back to winning ways at home, while Everton gave up a 2-0 lead at Old Trafford on Saturday to only come away with a draw.
Everton will fancy themselves after wins in their last two away games, but with both teams’ tails up, I can see a stalemate being the most likely result – I’ll back a 1-1 draw.

Only four players in the Premier League this season have scored more in the league than Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo this season, who bagged his 15th of the season at the King Power Stadium on Friday night.
Everton’s Beto has been a man reborn since Moyes’ return to Goodison Park, after just one goal in 14 league appearances this season prior to February, and has since scored five goals in his last four league appearances after his opener at Old Trafford on Saturday.
