
Soltilo Bright Stars and Lugazi FC played out a one-all draw as the two teams faced off in their final game of the first round on Monday at Kavumba Recreation Centre.
Lugazi FC took the lead through Nelson Mandela but the hosts were able to salvage a point with Alex Mandera getting the equalizer.
Soltilo Bright Stars FC were forced into making an early substitution with Khamis Atari sustaining an injury in the 10th minute and was replaced by Mandera.
Lugazi took the lead in the 40th minute with Mandela heading home from Abdul Kalanzi’s free kick.
Bright Stars were able to get the equalizer two minutes after the hour mark with Mandera raising high to node home from Jonathan Gift Odongo’s cross.
The result leaves Soltilo Bright Stars FC second from bottom on ten points while Lugazi FC end the first round in 12th place on 14 points.
