Brighton v Wolves preview
Brighton have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the new season under their new manager Fabian Hurzeler, winning their opening three matches but have since been held to stalemates on their last two outings.
The 31-year-old German manager started his managerial career in England with strong 3-0 away win over Everton, before getting the better of Manchester United in his first home game in charge of the club.
Victory in the Sussex derby against Crawley of League One in the Carabao Cup secured their place in Wednesday’s third round tie against Wolves, and was followed by a hard earned point away at Arsenal in the league, before playing out a 0-0 draw at home against Ipswich last weekend.
Eight points from their opening four games is a strong return for the Seagulls, particularly bearing in mind they’ve played two of the ‘Big Six’ already, and the south coast side will be content with their current position of sixth in the Premier League table.

Wolves, on the other hand, have endured something of a more difficult opening period of the season, with the West Midlands side having picked up just one point in the Premier League so far this season, leaving them currently in the relegation zone.
Gary O’Neil’s side have been unfortunate with the fixture list at this early stage of the season, having fallen to defeats against Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle in their opening four league games, but managed to earn a point from their trip to Nottingham Forest just before the international break.
Wolves’ sole victory this season came in the second round of this competition last month, when they came out on top as 2-0 winners over a Burnley side who suffered relegation from the Premier League last season.
Wolves have won only one of their last six matches against Brighton, though that victory did come in the most recent meeting, when two sides met in the fifth round of the FA Cup last season and the home side ran out 1-0 winners at Molineux.
Brighton v Wolves betting tips
Brighton will be expected to continue their unbeaten start to the season with a victory over a Wolves side who’ve picked up just one point from four league games this season, demoralised after giving a 1-0 lead at home against Newcastle last weekend to lose 2-1.
A 2-1 victory for the Seagulls seems arguably the most sensible bet, and Betfred’s offer of 7/1 looks a reasonable price for it.
