Cleveland Browns star Nick Chubb suffered a gruesome knee injury that has ruled him out for over a year – and he’s finally making his way back.
Chubb was carted off the field looking devastated following the injury in a defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers last September.

The running back was hit with a low tackle by Minkah Fitzpatrick and his knee buckled the wrong way.
The television coverage decided not to show replays of the incident because of how bad it looked.
“I’m told the replay of Nick Chubb getting injured is not to be seen,” announcer Joe Buck said at the time.
Chubb remained on the ground for several minutes while his teammates stood around him and prayed.
He was taken off the field and was later confirmed he had suffered a season-ending injury.
Immediate messages of support were sent by stars of the sporting world.
NBA star LeBron James sent a message of support to Chubb that read: “DAMN MAN!!!! Nick Chubb. Praying for the absolute best.”
NFL legend JJ Watt said: “Just the worst feeling. Gutted for Nick Chubb. Hope Minkah is ok. Injuries suck man. They absolutely suck.”
San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey added: “Prayers up for Chubb.”
Chubb had suffered a significant injury to the same knee in 2015 while he was at college in Georgia. He suffered a dislocation and three torn ligaments.

This time he suffered a torn ACL and meniscus and required two surgeries.
On 29 September, NFL Network Insider, Ian Rapoport, reported: “Running back Nick Chubb is expected to return to practice this week [30 September], a significant step in his return from major injury — and a huge lift for his team.
“Chubb will have his practice window opened this coming Wednesday. The Pro Bowler is not expected to play in Cleveland’s Week 5 game against the Commanders, but the team opening his three-week window will be a significant sign that he is set to return midseason as Chubb and the Browns had hoped.”

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed the report but said it did not necessarily mean he will take to the field immediately.
“I’m not going to get too far down the road,” Stefanski said when asked for a timeline for Chubb’s return to game action.
“He’s working very hard. Natural progression is for him to start practicing. He’s ready to do that. We’ll see how he goes from there. Not focused much farther past Wednesday.”
