Brooks Koepka will be out to prove he is no fair-weather golfer this week.
The LIV Golf star is set to tee it up at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in strong form with two wins on the breakaway tour.
Koepka is ready to brave the elements
And he is delighted to be lining up against Rory McIlroy at St Andrews – even if the weather forecast leaves something to be desired.
Koepka is based in Jupiter, Florida, but will brave the infamous conditions in Scotland with a $5million prize pot up for grabs.
“Always good to be back at my favourite course in the world,” the 34-year-old captioned a photo of himself on his Instagram Stories.
He followed up with a cheeky dig at the frigid conditions, with temperatures as low as 45 degrees Fahrenheit predicted this week.
Koepka posted a picture of the troubling forecast with the caption “Beautiful as always”.
The Alfred Dunhill Links is always a popular event as pros join a host of famous faces from sport, music and business at three of Scotland’s most iconic courses, including the world-famous Old Course.
“I’ve been fortunate to play in several Dunhill Links, as well as two Open Championships at St Andrews over the years, and these trips are always highlights to my year,” Koepka said when announcing his entry into the tournament.
“I love links golf and St Andrews is my favourite course in the world.
“I could play there every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.
“The atmosphere on and off the course at the Dunhill is fantastic.

Last year’s tournament was cut short due to rain
“I was able to play with my father one year and my good friend and caddie, Ricky Elliott, another.
“Those two weeks will always be very special to me.”
No American has ever won the Dunhill Links as an individual.
But Kopeka is well placed to end that streak thanks to his experience with European golf.
Koepka has lots of experience of playing in Scotland
The five-time Major champion spent two seasons on the Challenge Tour.
He also competed on the DP World Tour for almost two full seasons.
Koepka finished runner-up at the Dunhill Links in 2015 and will hope to go one better this year.
McIlroy and defending champion Matt Fitzpatrick will provide a stern test, however.
Fitzpatrick’s 2023 win came as the tournament was shortened due to bad weather – and plenty of rain is expected this weekend.
