Kitara 1-3 BUL

Kitara’s woeful start to life at their home continues with a brutal 3-1 defeat to BUL at Butema Royal Park on Friday.

Two early goals from Martin Aprem and Walter Ochora and another midway the second half by substitute Dickson Matama condemned the hosts to a third successive home defeat.

Aprem opened the scores inside two minutes before Ochora doubled the lead seven minutes later.

Arthur Kiggundu halved the deficit in the 28th minute as the game went into recess with BUL leading 2-1.

Any hopes of a complete come back were distinguished in the 74th minute with Matama sealing the deserved victory for Abbey Kikomeko’s men that leaves his counterpart Brian Ssenyondo under immense pressure.

With only four points, just a win and four defeats in six games, Kitara remain in the relegation zone despite assembling a side that is meant to be competing for the title.

BUL’s victory, their second in a row, away from home lifts them to 8th position with as many points.

Kitara will hope to make amends in their next league outings when they visit equally desperate URA at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo on Friday next week while BUL will be at home hosting Soltilo Bright Stars on Tuesday October 9.
