BUL FC had to come from a goal down to salvage a point against table leaders NEC FC as the teams faced off on Wednesday in Najjembe.

The game played at Lugazi Stadium saw NEC FC take the lead through striker Cromwell Rwothomio but the Eastern Giants fought back to level matters through defender Nicholas Mwere’s later equalizer.

Cromwell broke the deadlock in the 37th minute to give NEC FC the lead. The striker was at the end of a perfect free kick from Gadaffi Wahab and headed perfectly well past goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa.

With the game destined for the end, Mwere found the equalizer for the hosts thus earning his team a point.

BUL FC have failed to find the right footing at their ‘home’ Lugazi Stadium since moving there at the start of the season.

The Jinja based side have managed just one win at the aforementioned facility since relocating from FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

The result leaves NEC FC top of the table on 27 points, two ahead of second placed Vipers SC who visit Mbale Heroes FC on Friday.

On the other hand, BUL FC remain tenth on 16 points from 13 games.
