Abbey Kikomeko is wary of the threat posed by UPDF as they visit his side BUL on Wednesday in the Premier League.
Last season, the army side denied BUL all points beating them home and away and Kikomeko says this fixture is one of the reasons his side faltered and missed out on winning their maiden league title.
“We take on a side that beat us home and away last season and we are aware of that,” Kikomeko told reporters. “It will be another tough game but we have had good preparations and want to win here because we have managed just a single victory at our new home this season,” he added.
Coming into the game, BUL drew their third match on the bounce with a goalless stalemate at Maroons and will be without two key players Pascal Ngobi and Walter Ochora through suspension.
On the other hand, UPDF who twice came from behind to get a draw with Police in their last fixture are still looking for only their first win on the road after managing just two draws in five matches.
They have also conceded nine goals on their last two trips which calls for more defensive work from Paul Kiwanuka’s men.
The two sides are separated by a single point with Bul in the 7th position on 14 points while UPDF are 10th with 13 after 10 rounds.
