CAF Appointments for Dixon Adol Okello in January 2025
CAF Champions League (Safety and Security officer):
4th January 2025:
- Young Africans (Tanzania) Vs TP Mazembe (Democratic Republic of Congo)
- National Stadium, Dar-es-Salaam city – Tanzania
18th January 2024:
- Al Ahly (Egypt) Vs Orlando Pirates (South Africa)
- Cairo International Stadium, Cairo city – Egypt
In the month of January 2025, Confederation of Africa Football Association (CAF) has assigned Uganda’s vastly experienced safety and security expert Dixon “Bond” Adol Okello two appointments.
Okello will be the safety and security officer in the CAF Champions League duel on the 4th January 2025 when Young Africans host TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at the national stadium in Dar-es-Salaam city.
Two weeks later, Okello will also be in charge of another CAF Champions League contest between Egypt’s Al Ahly (Egypt) and Orlando Pirates (South Africa) in Cairo city on the 18th January 2025.
These two back-to-back appointments for Okello further underscore his enviable experience as well as expertise in safety and security operations during football events and competitions.
Okello is a trained FIFA and CAF approved safety & security personnel who has handled hundreds of high intensity football matches with the highest degree of professionalism, integrity and humbleness.
Meanwhile, another Ugandan Mike Letti, a former Uganda Cranes international will be the match commissioner for the same Al Ahly against Orlando Pirates duel at the Cairo International Stadium in Cairo city, Egypt.
Like Okello, Letti is also very experienced and widely traveled official who has served as commissioner in many CAF sanctioned events and competitions.
