CAF Awards 2024 D-day: Will Denis Omedi write his name into African Folklore?

Uganda Cranes and Kitara forward Denis Omedi could write his name amongst the legends in African football on Monday December 16.

Omedi is in the running for the Caf goal of the Year award alongside ten other stars ahead of the awards ceremony to be held at the Palais des Congrès in Morocco.

In case he beats them, he will join Denis Onyango, Caf African based player of the year 2016 and the Uganda National Team, The Cranes as the only winners from Uganda at the annual prestigious awards that celebrate excellence of African football.

Besides the goal of the year award, over 18 categories will be celebrated including the Caf Men’s Player of the Year.

Tanzania’s Super star Diamond Platinumz and Morocco’s Dysntic will be the entertainers.

The 11 nominees for CAF Goal of the Year 2024:
