Stephen Fulton was mocked by fans for his incredible ring outfit when beating Brandon Figueroa to become world champion again.
Fulton was in action on the undercard of David Benavidez’s thrilling victory over David Morrell at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

He was competing for the WBC featherweight title in a rematch with Figueroa, whom he beat in November 2021 in a gripping back and forth encounter.
But the fight failed to live up to the build-up with the pair being booed by the crowd, as the showdown failed to catch light.
Fulton ultimately got the job done for the second time, lifting the crown after securing a more emphatic unanimous decision victory.
But it was his ring outfit that caught the most attention from fans on the night.
Fulton had custom shorts designed which mirrored a pair of jean shorts, making him look as casual as possible.
He also had clever fight shoes that looked exactly like a pair of Timberland boots.
It made Fulton look like he had turned up in his own fashion, but in reality, had all the correct gear equipped for victory.
Fans couldn’t believe what were they seeing as the proceedings unfolded, with one writing: “This is when you go into the game settings of the character customization options.”
Another wrote: “Wtf, generationally stupid stuff, I hope he won.”
One agreed: “It’s boxing gear regardless of what it looks like lmao, fair play.”

A fan joked: “He looked like my dad out there, proper cool.”
Some viewers simply couldn’t believe it, with one adding: “This literally can’t be real.”
A final fan concluded: “The guy looks like he got out straight from work and went straight into a boxing fight.”
Despite his outfit which drew huge eyes to his fight, he was able to focus on business and outbox Figeuroa who looked a shadow of his previous self over three years ago.
Naoya Inoue‘s former rival said after the final bell: “I feel like he didn’t let enough shots go like he normally would, and I feel like he kind of slowed down.
“He moved up to 126lbs. As you see, his punch output lowered from when we was at 122lbs, and I feel like I capitalized off of that.

“I used my jab, I listened to my corner. I’m just going to enjoy the victory while I can.
I’m living in a moment right now and not overlooking anything.
“I’m just going to focus on this and maybe next month and we’ll weigh up our options.”
